Massapequa Crime Report: Three Home Break-ins

Oct 15 to Oct. 21.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Burglary

On Oct. 18, a home was burglarized on Grand Boulevard in Massapequa Park, police said. The thief entered through the rear window and stole jewelry.

On Oct. 21, a burglar broke into  homes on Chicago Avenue in Massapequa, police said. The incident occurred between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. when the thief entered through a side window. No loss was reported.

On Oct. 21, a home was broken into on Third Avenue in Massapequa Park, police said. The incident occurred sometime between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. Someone broke in through a rear window. No loss was reported.

DWI

On Oct. 17, Halit Sert, 55, of Lindenhurst was arrested at Unqua Road and Apian Lane in Massapequa and charged with DWI.

Forgery

On Sept. 27 a 1999 Plymouth Voyager belonging to a Massapequa man was scrapped without his knowledge, police said.

Grand Larceny

On Oct. 17, a woman had her iPhone snatched at the Westfield Sunrise Mall, police said. THe incident happened at about 9:30 p.m.

Petty Larceny

On Oct. 19, an Amityville man was arrested at Pathmark on 941 Carmans Avenue in Massapequa and charged with petty larceny,

On Oct. 19, a North Babylon man was arrested at Walmart at the Sunrise Mall and charge with petty larceny.
