MASSAPEQUA, NY. – Homecoming week in Massapequa came to a raucous conclusion Saturday as the community celebrated with a parade through Massapequa Park before watching the football team roll over visiting Syosset 42 to 7.

While the parade and football game were the highlights Saturday, Massapequa High School made the preceding week “Spirit Week,” featuring themed dress-up days and a Friday pep rally that saw each Fall sports team introduced in front of their classmates.

The parade kicked off at Massapequa Park Village Hall Saturday afternoon, with a cohort that included the Board of Education, Massapequa cheerleaders, class banners, the kickline team and the pep band, as well as a slew of local community organizations like the Connor Kasin Memorial Foundation, Kiwanis Club and the Massapequa Fire Department.
