Massapequa HS Heads To LI Championship Football Game

MASSAPEQUA, NY — The Massapequa High School football is playing for the Long Island Class 1 Championship. The Chiefs edged the Farmingdale Dalers, 35-34, for the Nassau title.

Massapequa (10-1) faces William Floyd on Saturday at Stony Brook University.

Ahead of the championship game, Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino and Brookhaven Town Supervisor Dan Panico made a friendly wager.

The supervisors agreed to donate to the "losing" supervisor’s charity of choice. A lunch between the supervisors is also part of the bet.
