Massapequa Couple to Open Maui Wowi Franchise

A Massapequa couple will soon be bringing a glimpse of the tropical lifestyle to a nearby community.

Maui Wowi Hawaiian, a gourmet coffee and fresh fruit smoothie company, is slated to set up shop this summer in Wantagh on 1896 Wantagh Ave. The location formerly housed Extreme Smoothie, which recently closed. 

“We are thrilled to bring smoothies to the neighborhood along with some island flavor,” said Nicole Marsh, who co-owns the new Maui Wowi Hawaiian franchise with her husband Joseph, a former candidate for the Massapequa Board of Education.

The Wantagh Maui Wowi Hawaiian store will be the company’s first on Long Island. The franchise owners said the old Extreme Smoothie location will undergo some construction before opening.

“The store is going to be an excellent addition to Wantagh,” said Joseph Marsh. “Nicole and I are ready to hit the ground running and begin providing a great product to this thriving community.”
