More Than $110K Stolen In Nassau: Police
A 28-year-old man was emailed by someone whom he believed was his real estate attorney, police said.
MASSAPEQUA, NY — More than $100,000 was stolen on Monday in Massapequa, police said.
A 28-year-old male victim had been emailed by someone whom he believed was his real estate attorney seeking a payment for a real estate property closing, police said.
The victim wired approximately $112,000.00 to a bank, police said.

A short time later the victim received an email from his actual attorney informing him that the prior emails and money request were not from him, police said.
The investigation is ongoing.
