Oct. 16: Town Budget and Debate

Debate: Tuesday is the big showdown at Hofstra. The second Presidential debate between Democratic nominee Barack Obama and Republican challenger Mitt Romney gets underway at 9 p.m. The event at the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex and will be moderated by CNN's Candy Crowley.

Budget: In addition to their regular Board meeting, the Town of Oyster Bay will hold two hearings on the proposed 2013 Town budget. Both will be at Town Hall, 54 Audrey Avenue in Oyster Bay. The morning meeting will be at 10 a.m. and the evening meeting is at 7 p.m.

Boys Soccer: Massapequa hosts Freeport at 4:15 p.m.

Boys Volleyball:  The Chiefs have a big match at home against Plainview. It starts at 5 p.m.

R.I.P.: The Bar Harbour Library will host a 7 p.m. seminar on pre-planning your funeral. It will be at the auditorium.
