Plainedge Relay for Life Set for June 15
American Cancer Society Fundraiser will take place at Plainedge High School

Next month Plaimedge and Massapequa residents who have been touched by cancer get a chance to fight the disease.
On June 15, scores of cancer survivors and local volunteers will sport purple and white t-shirts and walk for hours around a track to raise money for cancer research in one of the most iconic fundraisers in the country.
The American Cancer Society will hold its local Relay for Life event at Adelphi University in Garden City on Saturday at 7 p.m. at the college’s Center For Recreation. Participants can pick up t-shirts starting at noon, and registration opens at 5:30 p.m. Click here for more details.
Are you planning to take part? Patch would love to help you share photos or experiences from the event so we can capture the full impact of the relay in town.
The easiest way is to just visit The Boards, and upload photos and sentiments there. Want to thank a local volunteer, cheer on a teammate or share a great photo of the opening ceremony, the luminaria ceremony or the walk itself? Post them right there for the entire community to celebrate.
