Police Seeking Pair Who Attacked, Tried to Rob Man in Massapequa

The victim was sent to the hospital Wednesday evening.

Police are seeking two men who attacked and attempted to rob another man in Massapequa on Wednesday evening.

According to detectives, two men approached a 27-year-old man on Carman Mill Road and Madison Street around 6:50 p.m., and began punching and kicking him, demanding he give them everything in his pockets. The subjects fled eastbound on Madison Street with no proceeds.

The attackers are described as in their late teens to early 20s, both approximately 5-foot-8, with thin builds and wearing black clothing. One subject was wearing a gray skull cap on his head.

A Nassau County police ambulance transported the victim, who suffered a large laceration to the back of his head and contusions to the face, to a local hospital for treatment.
