Ribbon Cutting: The Massapequa Chamber of Commerce will welcome another new business into the area on Thursday. There will be a ribbon cutting for Massapequa Plumbing and Heating Supply at 1101 North Broadway #A at 2 p.m.

Rosh Hashanah: Massapequa Public Schools will once again be closed for the holiday celebrating the Jewish New year.  Rosh Hashhanah ends Tuesday night.

Sanitation/S.O.R.T. Trash and recycling pickup will go on as scheduled Tuesday.

Weather: We're expecteing a significant storm to pass theough the area on Tuesday and the  National Weather Service issued a high wind watch for the south shore of Long Island on Monday night. Gusts of winds up to 60 mph are possible.

Village Court Arraignments: Massapequa Park Village Court will hold arraignments Tuesday night at 8 p.m. They will be held at Village Hall 151 Front Street.
