Sunrise Mall Owners Want To Demolish, Subdivide Property: Report
Dick's Sporting Goods is the only tenant remaining at the Massapequa mall.

MASSAPEQUA, NY — It appears the end of the line is near for Sunrise Mall. The owner of the mall plans to demolish the building and seeks the county's approval for subdividing the property, Newsday reported.
The Nassau County Planning Commission was expected to hold a hearing on Thursday morning regarding the mall's request to break off the 77-acre property, Newsday said.
Sunrise Mall Holdings LLC bought the mall in 2020.

In February 2022, there were more than four dozen mall tenants. Now, only Dick's Sporting Goods is left standing, Newsday said.
