In the aftermath of Sandy, home contractors are in demand, but we learned Wednesday that not all area contractors are on the up and up.
Nassau Police and the the Nassau Consumer Affairs Department arrested 33 people, including two men from the Massapequa area for allegedly operating a home improvement business without a license.
The contractors were asked to come to a location in Valley Stream and after giving an estimate, they were asked if they have a home business license. If they said "yes," they were checked. If they answered "no," they were arrested.
