MEDFORD, NY – A clerk was injured during an armed robbery at a Medford store late Sunday night, Suffolk Police said. According to police, two men, one displaying a handgun, entered the 24/7 Convenience Store located at 2222 Route 112 at about 11:38 p.m. One of the men struck the counter clerk and demanded cash. The clerk complied and the men fled on foot. The clerk was transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Detectives are asking anyone with information about the robbery to contact the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552.The robbery occurred two days after a similar <a href="https://patch.com/new-york/medford-ny/gunmen-rob-gas-station">robbery</a> at a gas station a half mile down the road on Route 112.
