A Flag Day Ceremony is being held Friday at 6:30 p.m. at the Patchogue Elks Lodge 1323 at 14 Oak Street in Patchogue. According to a release from the organization, scouts from Troop 336 will present eight historic flags to the Patchogue AMVETS Post 111 Color Guard who will post the colors. The guest speaker is Jerry Collins, NYC/LI Chapter Coordinator from "Heroes On The Water," which is an organization serving wounded warriors by taking them kayak fishing. Following the ceremony is a steak or fish dinner for $22 per person. Reservations can be made by calling the organization at 631-475-1323.
