19-Year-Old Killed, 2 Men, 20, Wounded After Saturday Night Gunshots In Hempstead: Police

HEMPSTEAD, NY. — A 19-year-old woman was pronounced dead Saturday night after police found three people with gunshot wounds in Hempstead, police said.

Police said they responded to a shot spotter notification just before 11 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Willow Avenue and Kennedy Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found the woman and two 20-year-old men, all with gunshot wounds, police said.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene by a paramedic while the two men were hospitalized and listed in stable condition, police said.

Police said an investigation into the incident is ongoing, and requested that anyone with information about it call crime stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
