19-Year-Old Killed In Shooting Identified: Police
The woman and the two 20-year-old men were found with gunshot wounds Saturday night after responding to a shot spotter notification: PD
HEMPSTEAD, NY. — The 19-year-old woman killed in a Saturday night shooting has been identified as Queens resident Amira McCleod, police said Monday afternoon.
Nassau County police said they responded to a shot spotter notification just before 11 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Willow Avenue and Kennedy Avenue. Upon arrival, police said they found three people with gunshot wounds: McCleod, who was pronounced dead at the scene, and two 20-year-old men who were hospitalized in stable condition.
Police did not report any arrests or charges Monday afternoon, but said that anyone with information regarding the incident could call crime stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
