98-Year-Old In Critical Condition After Monday Crash: PD

ROOSEVELT, NY. — A 98-year-old man was hospitalized in critical condition Monday night after he was struck by a Chrysler while crossing a Roosevelt street, police said.

According to Nassau County police, the man was crossing the street near the intersection of Nassau Road and West Fulton Avenue when he was hit by the car.

The driver of the Chrysler remained at the scene of the collision, police said. An investigation is ongoing; no charges were filed, police said.

Public information officers could not provide an update on the 98-year-old’s condition Tuesday morning.
