Cops: Man Stole E. Rockaway Resident's Identity

Nassau Police are searching for a man they say stole an East Rockaway resident’s identity and used it to withdraw more than $1,000 from their bank account in February.

Between Feb. 17 and 18, the man was caught on surveillance camera using the victim’s identity at two TD Banks in Baldwin and Forest Hills, cops said. The man withdrew a total of $1,195 from the victim’s account, police said.

Detectives are asking anyone with information to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
