Cops: Massapequa Man Stole Wooden Barge in Seaford
The man sailed away with a barge worth $15,000, police said.

A Massapequa man faces charges for stealing a wooden barge in Seaford on May 28, according to Nassau County Police.
At 6:20 a.m., Frederick Eggers, 47, maneuvered a center console boat up to a wooden barge behind a home on John Lane, cops said.
The barge, valued at $15,000 had been tied to the marine bulkhead and was being used as a dock.

Eggers sailed away with the barge, which was found with Eggers at John Burns Park in Massapequa Wednesday, cops said.
Eggers was taken into custody at the scene and was charged with third-degree grand larceny, police said. He will be arraigned Thursday at First District Court in Hempstead.
