MERRICK, NY — A crash on the Southern State Parkway closed two lanes. It happened westbound at Exit 27S (Wantagh State Parkway) at approximately 10:30 a.m.

Traffic was crawling through the area as cars merged to the right lane.

Sunrise Highway would be a better temporary option to avoid delays.
