LIRR Police Activity Near Merrick Causes Suspensions, Delays

MERRICK, NY — Long Island Rail Road riders, who didn't have a long weekend, may have dealt with a longer commuter on Friday morning.

Police activity on the Babylon branch had trains briefly suspended at Merrick, the MTA said.

It also led to scattered delays at the Montauk branch as well, the agency said.
