Local Group Joins Search for Autistic Child, Schools Ban E-Cigarettes

An East Meadow community group is joining the efforts to bring a missing autistic child from Rego Park back home. Pocket Change to Make a Change, created by residents Michael Gordon, Kathleen Bracker and Matthew Dosil in 2011 to "make sure every person has the materials they need after a natural disaster," is volunteering their time for a different cause this weekend. Levittown Schools to Ban Electronic Cigarettes
The Levittown School District's ban on cigarettes on school grounds will soon include electronic cigarettes. Superintendent Dr. James Grossane said at Wednesday's board of education meeting that "certain folks" have been using e-cigarettes on school grounds and even in school. Click here for more.
