Man Charged In Connection To Menacing Incident With Gun At Nassau School: Police
Eybin Umana faces counts of menacing, criminal possession of a weapon on school grounds and endangering the welfare of a child, police say.

ROOSEVELT, NY — Police have made an arrest in connection with a menacing incident at Roosevelt High School earlier this week.
Eybin Umana, 40, of Roosevelt is charged with second-degree menacing, criminal possession of a firearm, criminal possession of a weapon on school grounds, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child, police said.
Umana is scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday at First District Court in Hempstead.

At 6 p.m. on Monday, a 17-year-old male was approached by a Umana at the school, police said. They got into a verbal argument and Umana lifted his shirt showing the black handle of a firearm in his waistband, authorities said.
The victim ran from the area and called police.
