Schools Closed, Cyber-Bullying Forum

1.Schools Closed: Schools within the Merrick, North Merrick and Bellmore-Merrick school districts will be closed on Monday in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

2. Cyber Safety: Dangers of Cyber-bullying, Social Media and Internet Safety: The Community Parent Center in partnership with the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District will host the program that will address the issues of cyber-bullying, social media and online exploitation. The event will take place at the Brookside School on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.

3. Jewish Early Learning Center Open House: The Jewish Early Learning Center 
at the Chabad Center for Jewish Life in Merrick-Bellmore  will host two 
Preschool Open House events. The opens houses are set for Tuesday and Friday at 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

4. Counseling for Hurricane Sandy Victims: Counselors from Project Hope will be at Bellmore Bean Cafe in Bellmore to offer free and confidential counseling to Hurricane Sandy victims on Thursday at 11 a.m.
