1 Person Injured In Hyde Park Apartment Porch Collapse
Authorities said the person suffered bleeding and an injury to the lower leg.

HYDE PARK, NY — One person was injured Monday in Hyde Park when a porch collapsed at an apartment building.
The Roosevelt Fire District said personnel were dispatched shortly after 2 p.m. Monday to 5 Boxwood Court in Hyde Park.
When police arrived, they found a porch from an upper story had collapsed with one person trapped in the wreckage.

The person suffered injuries from the collapse including a lower leg injury and bleeding.
Fire and EMS units stabilized the person for emergency transport to the trauma center at Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital.

The Hyde Park building inspector and fire inspector were called to the scene for further investigation.
Officials said there was no other structural damage to the residence.
The Roosevelt Fire District was assisted by the Dutchess County Department of Emergency Response, Northern Dutchess Paramedics, the Town of Hyde Park Police Department, the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office and the Town of Hyde Park Building Department.
