1 Suspect Arrested In Connection To Catskill Mountain Railroad Engine Arson: Police
Additional arrests are expected in connection to the New Year's Day fire in Ulster County, according to investigators.

KINGSTON, NY — A Kingston man has been arrested in connection to the New Year's Day arson of a train engine in Ulster County. Police say additional arrests could follow.
On Friday, 25-year-old John J. Dwyer, of Kingston, was arrested in connection to the train fire. He has been charged with felony criminal mischief, and arson.

Investigators say the fire was set in the cab of the locomotive. Police do not believe the Catskill Mountain Railroad was directly targeted.

Dwyer was arraigned in Ulster County Court and released on his own recognizance to return to Kingston City Court. He was released by Kingston City court to return Thursday.
