12 Children On School Bus When It Collided With Honda
Three were taken to the hosptal, but none of the students were seriously injured in the crash this morning, in Monroe.
MONROE, NY — Students on their way to school were lucky to escape serious injuries after a school bus crash this morning.
On Thursday, around 7:45 a.m., troopers responded to a two-vehicle collision involving a yellow school bus on State Route 208 south, at the State Route 17 Exit 130 on-ramp, in the town of Monroe.
New York State Police say a 2023 Chevrolet yellow school bus was traveling south on State Route 208, when it attempted to make a left-hand turn onto the State Route 17 on-ramp at Exit 130.

At the same time, a 2013 Honda traveling north on State Route 208 proceeded straight through the intersection with a green traffic signal and struck the front passenger side of the school bus, according to NYSP.
The school bus was driven by a 61-year-old woman from Middletown. A 65-year-old male passenger, also from Middletown, was on board at the time of the crash. The Honda was being driven by a 31-year-old woman from Monroe.

All three were taken to Garnet Health Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
The 12 children onboard the school bus were not injured, according to state police, who say the investigation remains ongoing.
