16-Year-Old Injured By Gunfire In Beacon
Police said they received multiple calls about gunshots in the area near the Tompkins Terrace Apartments Friday.

BEACON, NY — A 16-year-old boy was wounded by a gunshot in Beacon Friday evening.
The Beacon Police Department said it received multiple calls about gunshots in the area of Tompkins Avenue and Bank Street, near the Tompkins Terrace Apartments, around 6 p.m. Friday.
Officers located a crime scene and found a 16-year-old with a superficial gunshot wound to his arm.

He was taken to a local hospital in stable condition, police said.
Police are continuing to investigate, and because of the nature of the incident, further details are not being released at this time.
