2 Airlifted After 'Serious' 3-Vehicle Collision In Ulster County

SHANDAKEN, NY — A horrific weekend pileup in Ulster County left crash victims fighting for their lives.

New York State Police say that on Saturday, around 1:39 p.m., troopers from the Kingston barracks responded to the three-vehicle collision on State Route 28, in the town of Shandaken.

Two people sustained serious injuries and were airlifted to Albany Medical Center, police said.

Due to the collision, both Route 28 and Route 212 were closed in the area of the crash, until late evening, with drivers warned to follow detours and seek alternate routes.
