Powerball Ticket Worth $2 Million Sold In Hudson Valley
The lucky customer paid for the Power Play option, which can multiply non-jackpot prizes up to 10 times.

NEWBURGH, NY — One second-prize-winning ticket for the Oct. 2 Powerball drawing was sold in the Hudson Valley, and it's worth $2 million.
New York Lottery officials said the winning ticket was purchased at Smokes 4 Less, 59 North Plank Road in Newburgh.
The winning numbers for the Oct. 2 Powerball drawing are 12-26-27-43-47 with a Powerball of 5, according to the New York Lottery website.

To win the second prize, the player chose all five numbers, without the Powerball.
Additionally, the player purchased the Power Play option which for this drawing multiplied the non-jackpot prize two times — from $1 million to $2 million. Power Play can multiply a non-jackpot prize up to 10 times.

The winning numbers for the Powerball game are drawn from a field of one to 69. The Powerball is drawn from a separate field of one to 26.
Powerball drawings are televised every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.
