20-Year-Old Airlifted With 'Serious' Head Injuries From Fallen Tree

TOWN OF WARWICK, NY — A man is in the hospital after a scary series of events.

The Town of Warwick Police Department said they responded to a call on Monday, shortly before 1 p.m., after a 20-year-old man received head injuries from a fallen tree on Lake Trail.

The Greenwood Lake Fire Department and Greenwood Lake EMS also responded to the scene.

The first officers on the scene told dispatchers that the man seemed to have "serious" injuries. He was treated by Greenwood Lake EMS and airlifted to Westchester Medical Center.

Police say the cause of the scary incident is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives at 845-986-5000.
