29th Annual Dutchess County St. Patrick's Parade Steps Off Saturday

WAPPINGERS FALLS, NY — The Dutchess County St. Patrick’s Parade will be stepping off at 1 p.m. Saturday in Wappingers Falls rain or shine.
Andrew O’Grady, CEO of Mental Health America of Dutchess County, will be the grand marshal for the 29th annual parade.
The parade will begin on West Main Street at North Street in the village, traveling down Route 9D. It turns left on Elm Street and left on S. Mesier Avenue, finishing at Mesier Park.

Getting to and from the parade will be easier this year.
The parade committee said there will be shuttle buses from the South Hills Mall parking lot, near At Home, and the Wappingers Junior High School. The shuttle will stop along the parade route at North Street and at Mesier Park.

Shuttles will run before the parade from 10:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and after the parade from around 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. No alcohol consumption will be allowed on the buses.
The parade route and side streets intersecting with the route will be closed to all traffic at 12:30 p.m.
