NEW WINDSOR, NY — It turns out teens were behind a string of overnight car break-ins, according to police.

Town of New Windsor police say that the investigation is ongoing and further charges are pending.
"Thank you to our police department for their quick and effective response to these car larcenies," Town Supervisor Stephen Bedetti said. "This should serve as a notice, if you commit a crime in New Windsor, you will be caught and brought to justice."
Police also took the opportunity to remind residents to keep vehicle doors locked, secure valuable property, and to report any suspicious activity, especially overnight.
