POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory in advance of an approaching snow storm.

The advisory is in effect from 6 p.m Friday to 10 a.m. Saturday for Dutchess and eastern Ulster counties.

Snow is expected, with total snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches.
