$50,000 Powerball 3rd-Prize-Winning Ticket Sold In Hudson Valley

NEWBURGH, NY — While there was no winner of the $1.2 billion Powerball Wednesday, there were 10 third-prize-winning tickets sold in New York, including one in the mid-Hudson Valley.

New York Lottery officials said the third-prize winning $50,000 Powerball ticket sold in the Hudson Valley was purchased at Smokes 4 Less, 59 North Plank Road in Newburgh.

The other tickets, also worth $50,000, were sold in the Bronx, Elmira, Latham Manhattan, Niagara Falls, Spencerport, Staten Island, Whitestone and Wolcott.

To win a third prize, players must have chosen four numbers correctly, with the Powerball. The winning numbers for the Oct. 4 Powerball drawing are 9-35-54-63-64, with a Powerball of 1.

Numbers for the Powerball game are drawn from a field of one to 69. The red Powerball is drawn from a separate field of one to 26.

The jackpot for the Saturday, Oct. 7 drawing is estimated to be $1.4 billion.

Drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.
