7 injured In Car-Truck Collision In Hudson Valley
A Honda Accord turned onto Route 9 in front of a Chevrolet Silverado causing the crash, police said.
KINDERHOOK, NY — Seven people were sent to hospitals Tuesday after a crash between a truck and a car in the town of Kinderhook.
The New York State Police said the crash happened shortly after 6 a.m. Tuesday on State Route 9 just north of Maple Lane South in Kinderhook.
The initial investigation found that a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Kyle Bleau, 28, of Valatie, was going south on Route 9.

A 2004 Honda Accord, driven by Mia Washington, 18, of Bronx, left a parking lot and made a left-hand turn to go north in front of the truck causing the collision.
Police said Washington had to be extracted from her car by the Niverville Fire Department. She was air-lifted to Albany Medical Center with serious injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

Her five passengers — Anyce Cuspert, 20, Princewill Eziako, 18, Paloma Rodriguez, 21, Samya Montague, 18, and a 15-year-old, all from Bronx — were taken by ambulance to Albany Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.
Bleau was taken to Columbia Memorial Hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
The roadway was reopened shortly after 10 a.m.
Police said the investigation remains ongoing.
