8 Students On Kingston School Bus Injured In Car Crash
Three students in the car were also taken to the hospital for evaluation.
KINGSTON, NY — A Kingston school bus was in an accident with a passenger car Monday, leaving eight students with minor injuries.
District officials said the accident happened around 7:40 a.m.
A school bus operated by First Student was en route to Miller Middle School collided with the car just outside the school’s bus turnaround.

There were 16 students onboard at the time, the district said. Eight students had minor injuries and were taken to either Kingston Hospital or Northern Dutchess Hospital for further evaluation.
Three students were passengers in the car and were also taken to the hospital to be evaluated.

School officials said the uninjured students were relocated to Miller Middle School where they were evaluated by the school nurse, who will continue through the day to ensure their condition remains the same.
Following district emergency protocols, the district’s transportation administration responded to the scene of the accident.
Principal Andrew Sheber and district’s School Resource Officer Daniel Killian also responded to the scene.
Killian accompanied students to the hospital, and district personnel notified the families of students on the bus about the accident.
