Albany Woman Steals $10K+ Worth Of Beauty Products: Police
Police said the theft from Ulta Beauty happened in May.
YORKTOWN, NY — A 19-year-old Albany resident was accused of stealing more than $10,000 in merchandise from a store in the Jefferson Valley Mall.
The Yorktown Police Department said Desiree Fowler, 19, of Albany, was arrested Thursday and charged with third-degree grand larceny, a felony.
According to police, shortly before 2:30 p.m. May 22, officers were sent to Ulta Beauty at the Jefferson Valley Mall regarding a theft.

An investigation was conducted and it was found Fowler stole $10,115 worth of assorted merchandise.
An arrest warrant was issued out of the Yorktown Justice Court July 18.

Around 6 p.m. Thursday, Fowler turned herself in at police headquarters.
She was arrested and processed on the felony charge.
Fowler was arraigned and released on her own recognizance.
She is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court Nov. 21.
