Around 3,400 Customers In Hudson Valley Without Power Friday
Crews are working to restore power from New Rochelle in southern Westchester to southern Dutchess County.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Heavy rain and strong winds tore through the Hudson Valley Thursday into Friday leaving more than 3,000 power outages in their wake.
Almost 1,900 Central Hudson customers are waiting for the electricity to be turned back on as of 11 a.m. Friday. Hardest hit was southern Dutchess County, including more than 1,100 in Fishkill, 230 in East Fishkill and 400 in Wappinger, including Wappingers Falls. Estimated restoration time is pending.
NYSEG customers in Putnam and northern Westchester counties without power number about 730. Estimated restoration is midday.

In Westchester County, there are about 525 Con Edison customers without electricity. New Rochelle was the hardest hit, with more than 260 outages. Con Ed estimates restoration by 3 p.m. Friday.
In Rockland County, O&R reported more than 420 customers without power, including 200 in Ramapo and 150 in Stony Point. Both are estimated to be restored by 1:30 p.m.
