HYDE PARK, NY — Odds are two visitors to the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum in Hyde Park in January turned a few heads as they wandered through the exhibits.

Maybe not so much for the older gentleman with the stunning white beard, but definitely for the woman in the stylish lavender-trimmed black coat.

David Letterman, who has a home in northern Westchester, and Grammy Award-winning rapper, singer and songwriter Cardi B were filming scenes for the former late-night host's Netflix series "My Next Guest Needs No Introduction."

The series' six-episode fourth season begins on the streaming service May 20 and features interviews with Cardi B, Billie Eilish, Will Smith, Ryan Reynolds, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Kevin Durant, Netflix said on Twitter.

A spokesperson for the presidential library said the series' producers reached out to the library asking to do some filming on site.

Portions of the interview were shot in both the library and museum and the Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site.

Why the FDR Museum for the superstar rapper?

In a 2018 interview with GQ, Cardi B confessed her love for political science and presidents — especially FDR.

She said Roosevelt helped the nation get over the Great Depression and got the country through the Second World War."

"He's the real 'Make America Great Again,' " she told GQ, "because if it wasn't for him, old people wouldn't even get Social Security."

Letterman and Cardi B explored the museum on their own and at their own pace, according to a spokesman. The library's Acting Director William Harris went along as a guide and to answer any questions — off-camera — the pair may have had.

"We were delighted to host David Letterman and Cardi B for an afternoon here at the Library and Museum," Harris said in a statement provided to Patch. "We always appreciate when our friends highlight current connections to the Roosevelt story and invite their audiences to engage with us."

Previous guests on Letterman's series include President Barack Obama, George Clooney, Malala Yousafzai, Howard Stern, Tiffany Haddish, Melinda Gates and Lizzo.
