Catholic Charities Announces Appointment Of New Board Members

John Boyle of Tuxedo Park, Susan Miller of Woodridge join the non-profit board.

From Catholic Charities of Orange and Sullivan: Dr. Dean Scher, Executive Director of Catholic Charities Community Services of Orange and Sullivan (CCCSOS), is pleased to announce that John Boyle, of Tuxedo Park, and Susan Miller, LCSW, ACSW, of Woodridge, have been appointed to the not-for-profit human services agency’s volunteer Board of Directors.

“We are delighted to welcome John and Susan to Catholic Charities’ Board of Directors,” said Dr. Scher. “Each brings a wealth of experience and expertise that will go a long way in helping us to support our mission to provide help and create hope for those most in need in Orange and Sullivan Counties.”

Mr. Boyle, a corporate financial professional with more than three decades of experience in investment banking and wealth management, is founder of the private financial advisory firm Greenbelt Associates LLC. Prior to that, he served as Executive Director of JP Morgan Private Bank in New York City. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland and Columbia University Graduate School of Business. John and his family live in Tuxedo Park.

Mrs. Miller serves as the Orange and Sullivan County Managing Director of Rehabilitation Support Services (RSS), a position she has held for more than 20 years. She is a licensed clinical social worker and oversees the operation of more than 30 programs for RSS in Orange and Sullivan Counties. She received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in social work from Syracuse University. She and her husband Stephen reside in Woodridge.

Catholic Charities of Orange and Sullivan’s board is comprised of volunteers from all walks of life from both Orange and Sullivan Counties. The Board exercises fiduciary responsibility for the proper oversight and governance of the agency and the people it serves. The full Board meets on a quarterly basis and all members also participate in a variety of standing and ad hoc committees and attend Catholic Charities’ events throughout the year.
