CITY OF POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — An investigation into a Poughkeepsie man's disturbing behavior raised new questions, according to police.

The City of Poughkeepsie Police Department says that on Thursday, around 2:24 p.m., detectives assigned to a Gun Involved Violence Elimination (GIVE) detail saw a man exposing himself and urinating on the sidewalk in front of Warring Elementary School, on Mansion Street.

After confronting the man, detectives identified him as 65-year-old Delroy McPherson. They then found several debit cards and electronic benefit cards in his possession with the names of other people.

McPherson was taken to police headquarters and was charged with felony third-degree criminal possession of public benefit cards, misdemeanor public lewdness, and the violation of public urination.

He was processed and released on an appearance ticket, according to police.
