Day Trip Tip: Events At Basilica Hudson

MID HUDSON VALLEY, NY—Hudson is a great place for a day trip or even a short stay. It's home to Olana, the home of painter Frederic Church, a wealth of antique shops, plenty of trendy restaurants and is known for its fine examples of American architecture. You can spend a few days in Hudson, visiting boutiques, exhibits and eating out. And while you're there, catch an event at Basilica Hudson, a non-profit multidisciplinary arts center, which makes its home in a solar-powered reclaimed 1880s industrial factory.

Screening: KETERMAYA: Closer Than You Think

An afternoon of film and music raising money for the Syrian refugee camp which is featured in this moving documentary, which invites viewers to see the camp through the remarkable resilience of its children. With the filmmaker in attendance for an intro and Q&A.
