Details Emerge on Rollover That Closed I-84 Westbound in NY
UPDATE: diesel fuel and bottled water need to be cleaned up

UPDATE, 11AM — Workers are having to clean up both diesel fuel and bottled water after a tractor trailer rollover on I-84 early Tuesday.
New York State Police responded at 6:30 a.m. to the accident between Exit 11 (State Route 9D) and Exit 12 (State Route 52). A preliminary investigation indicates that the tractor trailing was traveling westbound on Interstate 84 when it went off the road onto the right shoulder and overturned.
The driver of the truck was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital with minor injuries and released.

When it overturned, diesel fuel spilled at the crash site. NYS DEC Spill Response was notified and responded to the scene.
I-84 westbound, just east of the Red School House Road overpass, has been closed for several hours as crews up-right the vehicle. It is anticipated that one lane will open up shortly.

Crews will remain on scene to clean up cases of bottled water that spilled from the cargo area.
MID HUDSON VALLEY, NY — A truck rollover on I-84 in Dutchess County has caused a traffic tie-up.
The accident closed the interstate westbound between exit 12 (Fishkill) and exit 11 (Beacon), the Southwestern Dutchess Daily Voice reported.
The rollover should cause residual traffic problems on Route 9 and Route 52.
