MIDDLETOWN, NY — Authorities have issued an urgent alert after a psychiatric patient escaped from a Hudson Valley facility.

The New York State Police at Middletown in Orange County are searching for Christopher R. Morgan, an escaped psychiatric patient who fled from Garnet Health Medical Center on Thursday, around 2:39 p.m.
