Fight Breaks Out After Valley Central/Newburgh Basketball Game
There were no injuries and reports of a weapon were not verified.
MONTGOMERY, NY — A fight broke out at the end of a high school basketball game Tuesday night resulting in a massive police response.
Valley Central was playing Newburgh Free Academy and won 58-37, the Times Herald-Record reported, after which fans of both schools began fighting.
There were calls to 911 about a firearm, but that was not verified and no shots were fired.

One person was detained by Montgomery police and then released pending further investigation, MidHudson News reported.
No one was injured.
