Flooding Warning Issued For Hudson River Near Poughkeepsie
Meteorologists said minor flooding is in the forecast for Tuesday.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — A flood warning was issued for the Hudson River near Poughkeepsie.
The National Weather Service said the warning is in effect until 3 p.m.
Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is in the forecast, meteorologists said.

At 4.2 feet, there is a minor flood stage, affecting flooding of lowlands, boat docks and boat launches.
At 6:45 a.m. Tuesday, the river was at 4.4 feet, which was the maximum river stage in the past 24 hours.

The weather service said the river will oscillate above flood stage with a maximum value of 4.6 feet Tuesday morning. It will fall below flood stage — which is 4.2 feet — late Tuesday morning.
This crest compares to a previous crest of 4.5 feet Dec. 21, 2018.
