Free Retreat Offered For People With Dementia in Hudson Valley

The Alzheimer's Association Hudson Valley Chapter will offer a free wellness retreat for people with dementia and their caregivers.

The Alzheimer’s Association Hudson Valley Chapter will offer a free wellness retreat for people with early- to middle-stage dementia and their family caregivers from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9, at the Edith Macy Conference Center at 550 Chappaqua Road in Briarcliff Manor.

The retreat will feature joint and separate activities for people with dementia and caregivers including caregiver massage with respite care, creative arts activities, live music, tai chi mind-body exercises and therapeutic recreation. Complimentary breakfast and lunch will be provided.

The Hudson Valley Chapter offers Wellness Retreats and a variety of other programs for people with dementia and their caregivers around the Hudson Valley.
