The Roosevelt Fire Department and Hyde Park Police Department responded, and after a thorough examination of the building and HVAC systems, clearance was provided to allow students and staff back into the building.
Authorities said the odor was traced to the exhaust from a mechanical system being drawn back into the building through the HVAC system which led to the smell.
