Goshen Student Given Marijuana Edible At School: Police

Goshen village police said the student ate the edible that was given to him by another student.

GOSHEN, NY — A Goshen High School student was arrested after being accused of giving another student edible marijuana.

Village of Goshen Police Chief James Watt said that a 16-year-old boy at the high school reported around noon Monday that he felt dizzy, light-headed and lethargic.

The student had eaten an “edible,” Watt said.

The boy was taken by ambulance to the Garnet Health Medical Center emergency room for evaluation.

A school resource officer immediately conducted an investigation that resulted in a 16-year-old girl being arrested and charged as a juvenile delinquent with endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.

She was issued a Family Court appearance ticket and released to the custody of her parent.
