Health Quest Medical Practice Welcomes Infectious Disease Doctor

From Health Quest Medical: Dr. Michelle Slifkin has joined Health Quest Medical Practice in its Division of Infectious Diseases in Poughkeepsie.

Slifkin is board certified in infectious diseases and internal medicine.

“I look forward to serving our community and their families by providing quality healthcare to better diagnose and treat infectious diseases,” Slifkin said.

Most recently, Slifkin worked for Rockland Infectious Diseases in Nyack, NY, and served as the vice president of the medical staff at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, N.Y.

Prior to that, she worked as a staff physician for the Community Substance Abuse Centers in Hartford, Conn., and Chicopee, Mass., and the Division of Infectious Diseases at Middlesex Hospital in Connecticut.

Slifkin completed her undergraduate studies at Clark University and earned her medical degree from Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia.

She continued her education with an internal medicine internship and residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Mass. She completed her fellowship in infectious diseases at New England Medical Center in 2001.

Slifkin is certified in New York and has publications in several medical journals.
